Great Scott! was born about this time last year. Band members include Aaron Jayne, drums; Chad Moore, guitar; Matt Nysewander, guitar; John Starks, bass; Brett Wiscons, vocals. We started out playing strictly covers but that all changed with our first original song, 'UP'. We haven't looked back. Our original song catalog is up to 12 at this point including the fan favorite 'What I got' and the newest one 'When it will stop'. At shows, Great Scott! mixes in a number of these originals on top of the endless covers we play. Our live shows is where it's at. We feed off of the crowd and we definitely get them involved. We have guest appearances from anyone and everyone. We don't discriminate, we love having people come up and sing with us. That could mean guys like Rob from Sfumato or Chad Mills or it could mean 8 random drunk girls coming up and belting out the chorus to ' Summer of 69'. Either way it's a fun, laid-back environment.

Our original music has traces of alternative, country, pop, and metal. We can go from an alt-country type of song like 'young & dumb', right into a straight up hard rock song like 'surrender'. And then mix in a ballad about meeting a girl in a bar called 'song for the drunk'. Our fans really enjoy our music our energy on stage and our attitudes. Why else would they keep coming back? Maybe for the cheap drinks, but I think it's about the Great Scott! experience too.

With over 100 shows under our belts we are as tight as ever and hitting our stride. We've played all over Indy and have made our way to Purdue University and Ball State as well.
